The following are the Events that have been Scheduled by the Lead Planning CommitteeThe Number of events and times are subject to change as event continues to evolve.

  •  Main Stage, Church St. in front of City Hall, 9:00 Am till 7:00 Pm,

    • 9:00 AM -10:00 AM:  OPEN
    • 10:00AM -11:00 AM: Walt Garrison
      • Parade starts at this time
    • 11:05 AM - l:50 PM: Steve Stone Band
    • 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM: The Mo Robson Band
    • 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM: Dusk Till Dawn
    • 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM: The Silver Tones

  • Parade:  Participants can enter on Parnell St, and will be staged on S. Cowen Ave, the parade rout will be east on Main to Church, down Church to Mill. South on Mill to Delay Middle School where parade will end. Staging time is 7:30 Am with the parade beginning at 10:00 Am. 
  • Arts and Craft vendors:  Arts and Craft vendors that need to set up prior than the Saturday morning time of 7:00 AM, need to set up on Friday, September 3 2004 at the following time 7:00 Pm. The festival opens at 9:00 Am and ends at 7:00 Pm that night. Arts and Craft vendors will be located on Main Street.   • Motor Cycle Show:  Motorcycles contest will be from 12:00 Pm till finish of judging and will be located in the East parking lot of Lewisville City Hall. Judging is as follows; Stock Class, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. Custom – anything with paint or pinstripes, 1st, 2nd, 3rd.  Best of Show will be out of all contestants.  There is a $5.00 entry fee per motor cycle.  Once the motor cycle is entered it must be left until judged.  Contact: Dennis Cook at (469) 235-6731 or (972) 434-6282, Thomas Ofe at (817) 417-7587
     
  • Dachshund Dash:  Dachshund Dash will start at 11:30 Am, till 1:30 Pm. (longer if event wishes to continue), and will be located on Church St. behind and directly across from The Old Temple Baptist Church, adjacent to the OTBA and Boys and Girls Club of Denton County Kids area.  Contact: Cathy Groves (972) 436-3161, or e-mail her at cgroves@addedtouches.net, Laura Lucas (817) 431-9491.
     
  • Beverage Garden:  Beverage garden is located on Main Street, next to Clyde’s Old Time Hamburgers, and will be open through festival hours.  Contact: Mark Tucker at (940) 321-1831, or Rebecca Behnke at (972) 436-4333, or e-mail her at lealreb@aol.com
     
  • Gun Fight:  Western shoot out will be held in two different areas of Western Days Festival, Bank of the West will hold their shoot outs on Poydras street at High noon and again at 4:00 Pm.  Contact: Martha Neilson at (972) 436-4513.

  • Bank Robbery and Jail Breakout:  Western bank robbery will take place at 11:00 Am in front of Lewisville State Bank on Main St. The jail break will take place at 2:00 Pm, in Larry’s parking lot on Main and Charles.   • Dance:  There will be a western day’s dance at the east end of Main St. from 4:30 Pm, till 7:00Pm.  Contact: Beth Ramsey, (214) 288-6601 or e-mail to eassistant@comcast.com
     
  • “42” Domino Tournament:  Players of all ages are invited to compete in the first citywide 42 dominoes tournament, benefiting Christian Community Action.
    • Entry fee is $2 or an equal value of canned food, all of which will be given directly to CCA.
    • On-site registration will be from 7:30 to 9 a.m. inside the former Temple Baptist Church, 201 W. Main Street
    • Tournament play starting at 10 a.m. and ending with the finals at 5 p.m.

  • Horse shoe throw:  Western day’s horse shoe throw will be located at the Green area behind Old Temple Church, adjacent to the Kids area on Church St. event starts at 1:00 Pm.  Contact: David Whitesell at (972) 459-6747 or e-mail whiteselld@comcast.net
     
  • Three legged race:  Western Days three legged race will be located in the Green area behind Old Temple Church, adjacent to Kids area on Church St. event starts at 12:00 noon and ends at 2:00 Pm.  Contact: David Whitesell at (972) 459-6747, or e-mail to whitesell@comcast.net
     
  • Cow Chip Throwing contest:  Western day’s cow chip throwing contest will be located in the Green area behind Old Temple Church, adjacent to Kids area on Church St. event starts at1:00 Pm and ends at 3:00 Pm.  Contact: David Whitesell at (972) 459-6747 or e-mail whiteselld@comcast.net
     
  • Quilt and Art Expositions:  Western day quilt and art exposition will be from 9:00 Am till 6:00 Pm, at the former Old Temple Baptist, building at the corner of Main St. and Charles St. Parking is available on paved lot on the west side of the building.
    • Show hours are from 9:00 Am till 6:00 Pm. No entries should be removed before 6:00 Pm, without the permission of the show organizers.
    • Set up time is Friday September 3rd between 3:00 Pm and 8:00 Pm.
    • Entrants can remove their displays between 6:00 Pm and 7:00 Pm after the event.

  • Main Stage:  Western day main stage will be located at the north end of Poydras and Church, in front of city hall, entertainment will begin at 9:00 Am and end at 7:00 Pm.  Contact: Rebecca Leal Behnke at (972) 436-4333 or e-mail to lealreble@aol.com

  • Lewisville Chamber of Commerce Business Exposition:  The business exposition will be located in the former Old Temple Baptist Church September 4 from 10:00 Am till 6:00 Pm.  Contact: Kimberly Jones or Ronnie Morrison at (972) 436-9571
     
  • Boys and Girls Club of Denton County Taste of Lewisville:  The taste of Lewisville will be located in the west parking lot of Lewisville City Hall the event will open at 10:00 Am till 7:00 Pm.  Contact: Barry Fisher at (940) 243-2082 or e-mail him at bfisherbgcdc@verizon.net
     
  • Boys and Girls Club of Denton County Kids area:  Location of event is in the Green area on the corner of Charles and Church St. Time kids area open is 9:00 Am and will close at 7:00 Pm.  Contact: Barry Fisher at (940) 243-2082 or e-mail bfisherbgcdc@verizon.net
     
  • Petting Zoo:  Will be located in Green area off of Church behind the former Old Temple Baptist Church, time for event is 9:00 Am.  Contact: Rebecca Leal Behnke at (972) 436-4333
     
  • Carnival:  Western day carnival will be located in the parking lot off of Mill and start at 9:00 Am.  Contact: Kenny Roberts (972) 221-5363 or e-mail to kroberts@fibtx.com
     
  • Auto Show:  Auto show will be in several venue locations with in Western Days Festival.  Contact: Phillip Sharp at (972) 436-9571 or Kenny Roberts (972) 221-5363.
     
  • Labor Day Rodeo:  Rodeo starts on September 3rd, and runs through September 5th. Rodeo starts at 8:00 Pm.  Contact: Diana Johnson at (972) 489 -4307
     
  • Roping Demonstration:  Roping demo will be on Charles between the former Temple Baptist Church and Lewisville State Bank. Time to be established.  Contact: Diana Johnson.
     
  • Boogie Woogie Choo Choo ride:  Ride will be located on Charles St. between the former church and the bank parking lot. And will begin at 9:00 Am and end at 7:00 Pm.  Contact: Kenny Roberts (972) 221-5363
     
  • North Texas Gun Slingers:  Will perform few skits and provide gun safety officer.   Will be located behind Lewisville State Bank in the parking lot and mill among the crowd.   Contact: Kenny Roberts, (972) 221-5363
