We need volunteers!
This event would not be possible without volunteers!
We need you to volunteer.

The purpose of this form is for volunteers to submit their information.

Note to Event Coordinators:  to request volunteers - Go Here.

Volunteers will be needed for all aspects of the event.  The areas that need volunteers include but not limited to the following:

  • Help decorate and setup on September 3, 2004
  • Continue Setup on the morning of September 4, 2004.
  • help direct traffic
  • help direct parking areas
  • help at domino tournament
  • help at the business expo
  • Greeting people
  • help organize deferent areas of the event.
  • help on the parade route
  • help with moving tables and chairs
  • Stage hands
  • handing out fliers.
  • trash pickup during & after the event
  • having a good time
  • and much more!
  • A few event areas are requesting volunteers to perform special duties.  If you feel that you would want to work in one of these areas, please state so in the comments area below. Click here to see special requests.

Western Day Volunteers

  • We ask that volunteers work at least a 2+ hour shift.  If you want to work more, we can use you.
  • Volunteers should expect the usual "hurry up and wait" but we hope it is "stay busy and have fun".
  • Those of you who volunteer all day will get first choice of duties.
  • All volunteers are invited to the VIP event Sept. 3rd Friday 6:00-8pm at Temple Church.
  • On the day of the event will receive WD Volunteer shirts, water and snack.
  • Check In at Lewisville State Bank 15 minutes prior to your scheduled work time.
  • Dress western – jeans, boots, hat, bandana if possible.

Areas that need Volunteers:  Please check the areas that you want to work.  You will be contacted for confirmation before September 3, 2004.  The following are areas that are still open as of 9-2-2004.  (Strike though text is filled).

Friday Sept. 3rd

Need strong volunteers to put out bails of hay Main @ Charles, & Mill wear gloves and long sleeves.
     4 volunteers needed:  7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Need volunteers to set up tables and chairs Business Expo  (Rich)
     3 volunteers needed:  1:00 pm - 3:00 pm  (CURRENTLY FILLED)

Need volunteers for arts and crafts – decorating and assisting vendors  (Cathy)
     2 volunteers needed:  7:00 pm - 9:00 pm  (CURRENTLY FILLED)

Saturday Sept. 4th

Need Volunteers at Registration booth - typist, data entry (Mark)
      2 volunteers needed: 7:00 am - 10:00 am  (CURRENTLY FILLED)
      1 volunteers needed: 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

Need 6 volunteers Trash pick up for litter free event.
      2 volunteers needed:  10:00 am - 2:00 pm  (CURRENTLY FILLED)
      2 volunteers needed:  2:00 pm - 5:00 pm (CURRENTLY FILLED)
      2 volunteers needed:  4:00 pm - 8:00 pm (CURRENTLY FILLED)

Need 6 volunteers to hand out trash bags & pocket ash trays for litter free event 9 am - 7 am
      2 volunteers needed:  9:00 am - 12:00 pm  (CURRENTLY FILLED)

Need 6 volunteers for main stage–runners, stage hands, unload speakers, stage management (Rebecca) 9am-7pm

Need 2-10 runners and pass out maps and event times, man OTBA booth (info booth Poydras & Main)

Need 4 volunteers for community stage–runners, parking GLTC parking lot (Shelly)
