FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
FAQ

  • Is the Sounds of Lewisville Music Series really Free?  YES!  The City of Lewisville provides this event with the help of financial assistance from sponsors to help pay for the bands so that you can enjoy music at the Sounds of Lewisville Music Series.  Please support this music series by doing business with the Sponsors so that the Sounds of Lewisville Music Series can continue.

  • Can I bring a chair?  Yes, chairs or a blanket to sit on.  Most people bring a folding chair of some kind.  The amphitheater tends to get a little hot during the summer and the concrete is still very warm in the evening.  Chairs will make your evening more enjoyable.  There is also a large grassy area surrounding the amphitheater where you can spread out a blanket.

  • What are the rules at this event?

    • No alcoholic beverages.

    • No glass containers.

    • No pets.

    • No one is allowed on the stage except the band and staff.

    • No smoking in the Amphitheater but smoking is allowed on the grass in the back beyond the sidewalk area.

    • No sitting in the stairways - they must be clear at all times.

    • No sitting on the retainer walls.

    • Enjoy yourself!

  • Will there be dancing at the event?

    • Yes, performers may be dancing on the stage.

    • Audience dancing is allowed and encouraged.  Most people dance down by the stage - the stage pit.

  • Where do I park? There is handicap parking and parking for the Sponsors in the small amphitheater parking lot.  There is plenty of parking across Lake Vista Drive and immediately to the west in the adjacent parking lot (Verizon Wireless) by the west entrance.

  • Can I bring food?  Yes.  Most people bring to-go food but concession stands will be available.   There are many fast food restaurants just north of the amphitheater near the Vista Ridge Mall.  Many people bring non-alcoholic beverages in hand carry coolers.  Depending on the vendors there, concession stands sell food and other things like hot dogs, nachos, snow cones, cotton candy, lemon chills, drinks, pickles, and other snacks.

  • How early do we need to be there?  Most people arrive up to 30 minutes before show time to set up their chairs and wait.  There is no set time for you to arrive - early or late.

  • What if the weather is bad?  The show will be canceled if it is thundering, lightning, and raining.  You can check the SoundsofLewisville.com Main page up to an hour before show time.  We usually have a final decision by then if the weather is bad.  This is Texas, therefore, the concert will most likely end early if the weather gets bad during the show.

  • What other events are at the Amphitheater?  Vista Ridge Amphitheater is a city-owned outdoor performance facility with seating for about 850 people that is used for public events and is available for private rentals by calling (972) 219-3550.

  • How to become a Sponsor?

    • For more information, please contact the City of Lewisville Special Events Coordinator at 972-219-3748.

    • Sponsorships are limited to one per Business Type with each paying to be a sponsor.

    • Each Sponsor supplies a banner for display.

    • Sponsorships help make this event even better by financially assisting the City of Lewisville to support this event.
