Fun for the whole family!
Presented for the 16th consecutive year by the City of
Lewisville, there are Eight top regional acts scheduled for the “Sounds
of Lewisville”
Summer Concert Series and four for the
Fall Concert Series. The free Summer concerts will be held on
Tuesday nights, from May 24 through July 12, starting at 7:30 p.m. at
the
Vista Ridge Amphitheater, 3049 Lake Vista Drive.
The four Fall concerts will be held on Sunday afternoons during starting
September 11, 2005 at 5:30 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to bring
blankets or lawn chairs. Alcohol is prohibited at the concert series.
This summer’s lineup features several names familiar to Lewisville
concert-goers, including last year’s People’s Choice Award winner, Soul
Tsunami, performing on May 31. Mingo Fishtrap played in the 2003
summer series. Three performers – Janie Feliz, King Creole and
Larry Joe Taylor – are booked to play at the
Bassmaster Elite 50
tournament in Lewisville Lake Park on June 4. Feliz also appeared
at “Holiday at the Hall” last December and will be part of “Red, White &
Lewisville” on July 4.
Both series are coordinated by the City of Lewisville
Community Relations Division with assistance from the Parks and Leisure
Services Department. |
