The Sounds of Lewisville is split up between two series:  Summer and Fall.

SUMMER SERIES:  Sounds of Lewisville schedules free summer concerts

• Seven top regional acts have been scheduled for the “Sounds of Lewisville” Summer Concert Series, presented for the 17th consecutive year by the City of Lewisville.

• The free concerts will be held on Tuesday nights, from June 6, 2006 through July 25, 2006 (excluding July 4), starting at 7:30 p.m. at the Vista Ridge Amphitheater, 3049 Lake Vista Drive. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs. Alcohol is prohibited at the concert series.

• This summer’s lineup will kick off with last year’s People’s Choice Award winner, All Funk Radio Show, performing on June 6, 2006.  Subsequent concerts will include music in a range of genres from jazz to rock to cowboy country. 

• Vista Ridge Amphitheater is a city-owned outdoor performance facility with seating for about 850 people that is used for public events and is available for private rentals by calling (972) 219-3550.

FALL SERIES:

• “Sounds of Lewisville” also offers a Fall Concert Series with four more free performances held on Tuesday evenings from Sept. 12, 2006 through Oct. 10, 2006 in Old Town Lewisville.

• Bands will be announced in late April. Both Summer and Fall series are coordinated by the City of Lewisville Community Relations & Tourism Department with assistance from the Parks and Leisure Services Department.  For more information, please call (972) 219-EVENT.

  • The Summer Series will be held at the Amphitheater at 3049 Lake Vista Drive in Lewisville, Texas.  It is just south of the Vista Ridge Mall.

  • The Fall Series will be held in Old Town Lewisville.

    • Tuesdays 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM.

    • Sept. 12, 2006 through Oct. 3, 2006.
       
• Then Vote on each performance every week.
   
• These performances are taped and played on LVTV.  Watch LVTV on Cable Channel 15 in Lewisville for these performances.
